Each year, we look forward to this holiday. From finding the perfect costume for your bump or new baby to carving their first pumpkin, there are so many memories to be made. Halloween has a way of bringing people together and encouraging play and creativity no matter your age. Sweet treats and candy are a plus too!
One of our favourite Halloween events are the Pumpkin Parades happening on November 1st in many neighbourhood parks across Toronto. Each year community members come together for an evening walk along paths lined with Jack o’ Lantern, glowing and carved with classic and unique designs. Whether you are adding a pumpkin to this year’s parade or not, it’s amazing to see the originality and talent in the designs.
If you have never had a chance to see hundreds of pumpkins all lit up together, it’s definitely worth a visit! With parades happening all over the city, this event is an accessible and enjoyable activity for all. For those in the West End, we recommend Sorauren Park's Pumpkin Parade, the first and largest parade in Toronto. In the East End, check out Riverdale Park West. You can find out more and view a map of Pumpkin Parades here.
